There are a growing amount of labels that do, wear something that means something, there are also other companies that  use fashion for a good cause with a percentage of their proceeds donated to a non-profit.  We like That Gorilla Brand because the quality is good and they go just one step further. We asked the founders of the company a couple of questions……

- Why out of all the charities and good causes did you choose that specific animal and why that charity?

The conception of a brand based around a gorilla whilst also supporting the conservation of the gorilla came within the same breath.  The specific charity The Gorilla Organization was found through research.  Once we found and made contact with the charity one of us visited them and was explained in depth about community led conservation for the gorillas and their surrounding people and environment. The more we learnt, the more fascinating and inspiring it became that by directly helping people in the communities and teaching them sustainable means to live their lives and make a living from, that this in turn would help the gorillas. So with this we actually help the gorillas by helping people live a better life without having to encroach on the gorilla's habitat.

- As a brand what is your main mission and purpose?

To create something that is bigger than just a fashion brand, it is a fashion brand the commits to making a positive impact on the world, through our company's values of Strength, Love & Loyalty.

- What made you want to set up a fashion brand?

We wanted to create a brand that was unique and with a purpose, something that our customers would be proud to wear knowing that they are helping a cause that although is far away is making a difference.
