Universal Works is an independent company that was co-founded in 2009 by David Keyte with an aim to make “real, honest clothing based on fit and good design, though never over designed”. The garments are produced both in the UK and also overseas, but the label only works with factories and suppliers that they trust and admire.

Renowned for the iconic Bakers Jacket – which is transformed and reinvented every season using a huge range of fabrics – the label’s aesthetic is traditional menswear and simple, functional workwear shapes. The Bakers Jacket is an everyday staple, that offers both function and form. Not only is it timelessly stylish, it also features an internal ghost pocket at the right chest, as well as a single patch pocket on the left and three pockets at the hip.

The collection also features a range of classic hats, pochettes, socks, shoes and knitwear, created either in collaboration with like minded brands, or with the label’s own designers.
