My impressions of what I saw and experienced at this year's MBFW Madrid 2023 and London Fashion Week - Lupe Castro - MsLupeCastro
How difficult it is to be on the move at the fashion weeks I attend every year and, on this occasion, also with a tiny hand luggage that accompanies me to look my best at the shows and fashion shows I go to. This is being one of the biggest difficulties I am facing, but thank goodness that between friends and designers, I can complement my 'mini-suitcase' with quality garments, which are what make the world of fashion really worth the quality: the quality and the work behind each piece.
These days I have enjoyed the fashion shows of Eduardo Navarrete or Andres Sardá, (here you have some of the photos of these shows and you can also find in my Instagram profile content about what has been happening), but I like to stay from these events with the fantastic people I 'stumble' with on backstage.
I’d like to dedicate a special mention to Marisa Velázquez, designer and creator of the Canarian firm By Loleiro, who contributed to Andrés Sardá's fashion show with accessories, bags and headdresses, which completed the lingerie proposals, which every year capture everyone's attention. Thanks to her, I was also able to meet the designer and creative director of Andres Sarda; talking to her and exchanging impressions was fabulous because I admire her creative work so much.

Being on backstage with the designer from the Canary Islands, Paloma Suárez, was another of the magical moments I'll keep from these days; a designer, for me, already established and of whom I have a piece from each of her collections since she started. It has made me very happy to see her enjoy her experience in this edition of MBFW Madrid.
Paloma has had a great evolution as a designer and, moreover, I love her idea and vision on sustainability (a subject that worries me a lot and about which I try to actively disclose), so I invite you to follow her if you haven't already done so.
One of the most fascinating things that maybe people who aren't that into it don't know is that there is a very important innovation component to fashion weeks and that's something I like to keep an eye on as well. During my visit to London Fashion Week, one of the things that impressed me the most, in the 'Fashion Scout' section, I had the opportunity to 'taste' (and yes, I do mean taste) a potato starch based material so biodegradable that it was even edible (and sweet).
I hope you have enjoyed these discoveries and experiences that I have had during these days and that you have read them with the desire to know more about the designers that I have told you about. Also, keeping in mind the innovation on the materials that are to come. You have in my social media profiles more details and more chronicles of what these days of hustle and bustle were, but that I enjoy very much, touring Europe in their fashion weeks. If you want to ask me anything, I'll read you on my social media channels!
