There are a lot of jewellery designers in Antwerp. But through browsing the International Cosh Directory – a platform for sustainable–you can find stores that align with your ethical or sustainable values – which I love!
This is how I first came across Anna Rosa Moschuti. This flagship store by the talented jewellery designer of the same name, is the place to be in Antwerp for accessories designed and created in a sustainable and honest way. Half Greek designer Anna Rosa has a background in architecture which shows in her geometric jewellery, as well as in the funky but ever so sleek design of the space itself. She is joined at the flagship by her team of 2 . And as she wasn’t in herself when I visited, I was able to speak to one of the team about her fabulous work.
Not only are the pieces stunning, they also tick all the boxes for small independent and sustainably minded businesses. They only use recycled silver and gold from Greece, ethically sourced fresh water pearls (they don´t kill the oysters they farm after removing the pearl,) from a small family owned importer and lab grown diamonds. Moreover the interiors of the shop are all created using recycled materials that would otherwise have been thrown away.
Not only this but the brand is completely transparent about all of its operations, and they can be found on line . I have been searching for a designer that I can really resonate with for a while especially as I would like redesign some of my own pieces. And I believe she is the one. Come and see for yourself!
