Van Heusen Slim Fit Elite Polyster Cotton made in England mens shirt circa 1977-1980 restyled elegantly for 21st century wear by designer Arquimedes Llorens for women and men. A fluorescent ribbon tape webbing strip has been added round the chest and waist.
The shirt has a spread collar and rounded barrel cuffs.
The Phillips Van Heusen company was formed in 1929 and introduced the first collar attached shirt in 1929. It subsequently became a staple in every American mans wardrobe. In 1974, Queen Elizabeth issued a Royal Warrant to John Van Heusen, whereby Van Heusen was appointed the official clothier of Buckingham Palace.
